Well, today found me wanting to skip my workout, but feeling really guilty about it. I decided to just get it over with, but Darby refused to let me use the big t.v. So, I had to put my video on my computer and put my computer on the kitchen island. The computer apparently wants to punish me for something and it wouldn’t play anything but level 3 of the shred. During the super-man moves, Darby laid on my back and made it so much easier on me, so that was awesome. I am so sore I can hardly move! But man, it hurts so good, right?!
Last night I made teriyaki chicken, broccoli, and a home-made rice pilaf. It was awesome, so if you want the recipe, let me know. I have a hard time dieting because I love to eat and eat a lot, so it helps if my food is super flavorful. What are your dieting secrets?

Post the recipe! We need some more good food ideas! I was able to get myself out of bed despite having heart burn all night and do cardio 1 of P90X with Corrine and Adam. I did it at an extremely low intensity, but we made it through 35 minutes with the promise to do the entire thing Friday morning. Don't worry, I'm not doing anything too intense.
ReplyDeleteGood job with the shred! Level 3 is killer! I love feeling so sore. It makes me feel like I have done so much. I love it until..... the next day when I have to work out again and I get tired in the first 30 seconds.
Last night we ate crock pot pork chops and steamed broccoli and tonight was chef salad. MMMmmmm. Being healthy tastes good!
okay, that makes me feel better. nothing is worth the health of your baby.
ReplyDeletethe recipe is as follows:
i bake the chicken in a mixture if teriyaki sauce and water (more teriyaki) for however long you back chicken at whatever temperature. it turns out very moist (hate that word) and delicious.
for the rice pilaf, dice some onions (i know you guys hate onions, so maybe you could dice walnuts or some veggie). sautee the onion in 1/4 cup of butter (not the healthiest part of your meal!). add either orzo or couscous and sautee it with the onion until brown. add 1 cup of rice and 1 cup (or can) of chicken broth. sautee until absorbed, then add one more cup of broth and cover. simmer about 30 minutes. add whatever spices you like; i use sage, minced garlic, black pepper, and even some mrs dash. then i serve it with broccoli and even Darby ate it! it's a little packed with sodium, but you deserve some indulgence, right?!
The Pork Chops were really yummy, but honestly eating healthy does not taste as good as CANDY!!
ReplyDeleteWell I am finally getting a minute to comment on the Parmenter pudge. My legs really feel it from the workout 2 days ago and I took the five flights of stairs to work yesterday. I am down to 1 soda a day. Not sure I'm ready for the headaches with ward conference this weekend. I just copied the recipe for the chicken, looks yummy. It's your TV not Darby's, use the big TV if you want to! Pretty soon candy will taste yucky to you Britney! I can't talk until I give up pop I guess...
